Granny Wars

SYNOPSIS

Best friends Sadie and Mabel are enjoying life at Oakville Senior Home, but musical theatre fan Sadie is upset that she didn't win a spot on the bus trip to see Hamilton. She can't believe her luck when a spot opens up. But Mabel, who could care less about musicals, is suddenly very interested in the open spot. When they can't agree who should go on the trip, Mabel declares Granny Wars! The senior home activities director, Barnaby, hosts the games, and hilarity ensues as the two friends quickly turn on each other in an attempt to out-dance and out-arm wrestle each other for the spot. Meanwhile, Sadie's grandson Billy has come to visit her and has some exciting news to share with her. But Sadie is too busy trying to kick Mabel's girdle to pay attention to what he has to say. Who will come out on top and win the prized spot on the bus trip? It's anyone's guess in this 15-minute musical about friendship, family, and flossing grandmas.
